Switch Networks in 24 hours
Ofcom has approved plans to create a new One Touch Switch system, allowing broadband customers to switch networks with ease by only needing to speak to their new provider.
Previously, customers would have to negotiate with their existing provider and require approval, the new system will eliminate this, making the customer journey of switching networks much simpler.
The rule applies for all broadband users including both part-fibre and full-fibre users. Ofcom hopes that the move will make changes much quicker.
The move comes after Ofcom found that 41% of people were reluctant to switching suppliers due to the hassle of switching providers.
Their research also shows that 43% of users did not want to switch as they thought this was time consuming and 24% who contact their current provider were faced with attempts to persuade them to stay.
The system will work by customers giving all their information to their new provider, the new p[provider will then be in charge of the network change, and the customer will receive all relevant information.
The system comes into place in April 2023 but Ofcom are urging businesses to adapt to the system as quickly as possible.
We are excited to see how this news effects our business and makes switching to Core Network Group, an easy, stress-free transition for all our customers.
