What is Full Fibre?

Full Fibre is the fastest broadband available in the global market, the new connection is rapidly becoming the most popular choice when upgrading your network.

The UK government has recently announced plans for “Project Gigabit”, which is the aim to give 80% of the population Full Fibre by 2025, this goal is already becoming a reality, and we are here to speed the process up.

Core Network Group are currently working on the installation and maintenance of Full Fibre networks all over the UK. In this article, find out more about Full Fibre, how it works and the benefits it brings to your business.

Part-Fibre

FTTC networks use a fibre-copper link, this works through copper wiring which runs from your premises to street side cabinets. From the street side cabinets, fibre optic cables run to the telephone exchange which is the source of your internet. Part-Fibre connections usually run at around 70mbps but this is dependent on the street side cabinet and can be affected by the amount of other users in your area.

Full-Fibre

FTTH use a fibre-fibre link from your premises, through the cabinet, all the way to the telephone exchange. As this uses no copper links throughout, the speeds are much faster as data is transmitted at a higher bandwidth. Full Fibre can reach speeds of up to 1000mbps, over 10 times the amount of FTTC.

Contention:

Your internet is usually shared with between 50-80 people, with our service you will have your very own network, without the worry of your internet being shared with others and hindering your speeds.

Always fast:

You might be paying for 100 Mbps connection speeds – but do you always get them? Do you ever find your connection slowing down at lunch time or at the end of the day? We offer connections that always run at maximum speed, meaning if you pay for 100 Mbps you will get it, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Environmentally conscious

When we install your connection, we utilise as much existing infrastructure as possible, reducing the environmental impact from digging. When we do have to add additional infrastructure, we do it all at once. This is known as our “dig once” approach and we are particularly proud of how this reduces environmental impact of providing our services, something that a lot of other providers do not seem to consider.
